Scotts Head surf break

Scotts Head surf camp NSW is a place to relax and have some fun for a few days. The Holy Spirit is the bond that holds us together making us fully equipped to build upon the solid foundation we now have in our lives. There is a wide range of activities there, loved the beaches and clear water, the whales were going south and fish were everywhere. A couple of BBQ’s, a night out and the church meeting on Sunday were great value....

Fellowship - Canadian Style!

I’ve just returned from the Canadian Summer Camp. The theme of the gathering was aptly named “Victory in Victoria”. Which happens to be the location of our assembly on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Rather than the usual “live-in” type camp, morning meetings were held at various assembly members homes, followed by afternoon excursions that often ended in a BBQ dinner. Overall it turned out to be a relaxing formula that will certainly be repeated into the future! Over the week we thoroughly enjoyed – upbeat meetings, prayer, talks, choruses, testimonies, cultural......

Dinner Plain Snow Camp

Last week the Morwell Assembly, in Gippsland Victoria, hosted the annual snow camp at Dinner Plain near Mt Hotham. Visitors from surrounding Victorian assemblies and as far as the Sunshine Coast meeting, joined in for the week away. Some skied, some snowboarded, others just took it easy and relaxed next to the fireplace. We had three meetings, one every second night, with gospel talks inspired by popular movies, including Back to the Future. A great time of fellowship all in all....

A funeral, a wedding and a Kiwi invasion

The week started with Gwen, our sister in the Lord is laid to rest with Pastor Craig Fox (RCC Sunshine Coast) performing the service. Then on Friday up to the mountain to Toowoomba, the Wedding of James Pearson and Olivia Watmore. Pastor Fred Wade (RCC Dubbo) did the wedding service too much joy when he said ‘I now pronounce you Man and Wife’. Magnetic Island ‘True North’ Youth Rally

To everyone else in Australia it was a frosty weekend. However, For the RCC Youngies, it was a time of beautiful sunshine as we all headed to the magnificent Magnetic Island. This years theme was True North, and learning to utilise our inner compass, the Holy Spirit, to continue to align ourselves with True North. Friday we all ventured via ferry to Magnetic Island and spent the day down at Horseshoe Bay. Some were lucky enough to see koalas, go kayaking or simply feed a lorikeet or two. The afternoon rolled around......

Mulanje, Malawi Visit

Today after lunch with these wonderful brothers, Pastors Nelson, Kelvin, Eric, Dick and Tex Banda along with Francis and Innocent. We drove out about two hours towards the Mulanje district near the Mozambique border. You could see Mozambique in the distance at the foot of the mountains from the church hall. We were blessed to be able to share a word of encouragement with them. After the meeting three people received the Holy Spirit which was a wonderful blessing to be present at the moment of their salvation. These beautiful people welcomed......

Nairobi, Kenya Visit

On the Sunday just passed I was privileged to attend a meeting in the new hall in Nairobi Kenya. A little more than two years ago Pastor Victor and I saw the beginning of this assembly when around 18 to 20 received the Holy Spirit. Now the church is around 70 to 80 persons strong. It never gets boring going over the fundamentals of the salvation doctrine and walking in the Spirit. It is inspiring to see very young people taking hold of the Gospel and doing something with it as their......

Mombasa, Kenya Outreach

We had our first ever public outreach in Mombasa, Kenya today. The Pastors from the four assemblies were asked to work together and plan this outreach as the first of many to come in Kenya. I am very happy to report that they came together and did a wonderful job considering they had not ever done anything like this before. We spent the morning walking around Bombululu in Mombasa witnessing to people and inviting people along. During the open air outreach, we created quite an interest and one person came back saying......
