Malawi & Mozambique Update

During the first two weeks of March, heavy rain fell day and night for 7 days in Malawi and Mozambique. The resulting flood killed thousands, many houses fell, and crops were washed away in many areas, leaving thousands homeless and starving. The two countries had no time to recover from this disaster, as the following week Cyclone Idai hit Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe, resulting in many more deaths and homeless people. Cyclone Idai is the largest cyclone ever to occur in the southern hemisphere. Many people in the 3 countries are currently......

Melbourne Youngies Art Night

On Saturday the Melbourne Youngies hosted the Young Revivalists (Ages 9-14) for an Art Night at the Box Hill Hall. We enjoyed all kinds of activities from colouring in, to painting and even some sculpture building. The night was a great opportunity for the Youngies to join with the younger kids, sometimes needing to manage their ambitious painting techniques! A huge thank you to the Youngies who organised the night and to those who drove from far and wide to join in the fun....

Melbourne Pastors Conference

Humble, purposeful, clear, direct, incisive, practical and no-nonsense. These are some of the attributes and attitudes of Paul the Apostle considered over the Pastors Conference held last weekend. Pastors from Australia and New Zealand met in Melbourne to discuss the Church from spiritual and practical angles, reconfirm purpose and direction, and enjoy fellowship. A diverse group of pastors with a shared vision, a common purpose and a clear direction. Pr Simon spoke of the legacy of the Apostle Paul and how we had entered into the labours of those who have gone......

Melbourne Youngies Launch Camp

Over the Australia Day weekend the Melbourne Youngies made their way to Freshwater Creek for the annual launch camp. The weather turned it on with warm days so we could spend our afternoons frolicking in the sun at rivers and beaches and spending some quality time with our fellow brethren. There was plenty to do with people joining in on Finska, beach cricket, water frisbee, back of the bus and much sunscreening. Each morning started with breakfast prepared by some of our young people and the last day Eddy Vanderstadt graciously filled......

Orford TAS Christmas Camp

Over the Christmas and New Years break, the saints from the assemblies in Tasmania, as well as many visitors from the big island, converged once again at Spring Beach on the beautiful east coast of Tasmania. The fully catered camp was enjoyed by around 100 saints, who participated daily in activities such as kayaking, archery, bush walks, swimming, and visiting Salamanca Markets. The weather was fantastic and the water was a bracing 18.5 degrees, but the daily prayer meetings and the evening fellowship meetings, along with delicious meals and coffee machine on......

Freshwater Creek VIC Christmas Camp

Through scorching days, windy days and cold nights with clear starry skies, saints got together at Freshwater Creek over the holiday break to celebrate the end of one year and to ring in the new. The light of the spirit shone in our hearts and minds, as was the camp theme: Shine The Light. During the meetings, we sang, we were entertained, and we heard from pastors and elders young and old on the theme of The Light. Pr Rob, all the way from London, reminded us that the eternal is not......

Whangaehu NZ Christmas Camp

Camp Whangaehu is situated in the North Island of New Zealand. The camp is 20 mins from civilisation. Which means  no cellphone reception. A good time to recharge those spiritual batteries. The theme for the camp was Kia Kaha which is a Māori phrase used by the people of New Zealand as an affirmation, meaning stay strong. We heard amazing examples through the talks to stay strong through 2019. The camp offered hot beach weather, great fellowship, volleyball comp, outdoor concert for NYE and much more. If you get the chance, come......
