Fellowship – Canadian Style!

Fellowship - Canadian Style!

I’ve just returned from the Canadian Summer Camp. The theme of the gathering was aptly named “Victory in Victoria”. Which happens to be the location of our assembly on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

Rather than the usual “live-in” type camp, morning meetings were held at various assembly members homes, followed by afternoon excursions that often ended in a BBQ dinner. Overall it turned out to be a relaxing formula that will certainly be repeated into the future!

Over the week we thoroughly enjoyed – upbeat meetings, prayer, talks, choruses, testimonies, cultural outings, and more food than we could possibly eat! We even visited a local fire hall where one of our Church members is the fire chief!

With Martin and Jill from Brisbane; Pastor Rocky and Susan from Portland; and James and Alicia from Seattle; and myself from Melbourne, it was a wonderful gathering from far and wide. It was great to catch up and share our stories.

The highlight was that nearly every gathering had unsaved visitors and some even prayed to receive the Holy Spirit!

Thank you to Pastor Paul and Ruth for your wonderful hosting and friendship – loved it!

Put it on your short list for a future visit!
