The Word of God clearly identifies a number of different types of healing. The most important of these was repairing the breach between God and man as best described in John 4:23: God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. The problem was clearly diagnosed; the prescription simply stated; and the medicine implemented on the Day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit was poured out. Another kind of healing is the healing of our bodies from illness through Jesus’ selfless act at Calvary, Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed (1 Peter 2:24). We are encouraged to call on the Lord to heal our ailments and to support others in need: Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (James 5:16). Again the remedy is specific and powerful – give the Lord the chance to glorify His Word through healing – especially if you have had your Day of Pentecost! A recent trip into Arnhem Land has resulted in the renewing of ties and the further establishment of the Church in Arnhem Land. Visits to Ramingining, Lake Evala, Mata Mata, and Gallawinku on Elco Island, have helped to consolidate the preaching of the Gospel in this remote part of Australia. A number were baptised, others were healed, communion was shared, and the basics of sound Bible teaching were reinforced. The preparedness of these indigenous people to embrace the Gospel is wonderful, though it is still early days for RCI in this part of the world.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. John 3:3-8
