CANTERBURY CRUSADERS HIT FIJI
During June, 26 of the Christchurch brethren made a trip to Fiji.
Pastor Mick Reports:
We don’t like Fiji, we LOVE IT!!
We had a fantastic time, brother Peremo said to me after the Sunday Meeting in Sigatoka, “good for us and good for you” and it certainly was.
We attended meetings in Nadi on the Wednesday and made a bus trip to Sigatoka for a Lovu (food cooked in the ground) on the Saturday and returned again on the Sunday for the main meeting.
The people in Fiji are an inspiration and we all returned feeling extremely proud to be associated with the Fiji work.
I loved how positive the Fiji saints were, when we shared our testimony and told how we received the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues; people in the assembly called out “Amen”, the Joy of the Lord is evident in the lives of these people, they have a simple but inspirational faith that reminded us of how our complicated lives can at times be biggest problem.
The bus trip home from Sigatoka Sunday night with brother Numia leading the choruses was top shelf, “I’m standing on the rock of Jesus, nobody going to push me down” was our favourite,
Thankyou to Pastor Apenisa, Brother Waisele, Brother Peremo and all the Fiji brothers and sisters for hosting us.
As the Terminator said “I’ll be back”
Get your card out and get up there, you’ll love it. |
