Today after lunch with these wonderful brothers, Pastors Nelson, Kelvin, Eric, Dick and Tex Banda along with Francis and Innocent. We drove out about two hours towards the Mulanje district near the Mozambique border. You could see Mozambique in the distance at the foot of the mountains from the church hall. We were blessed to be able to share a word of encouragement with them. After the meeting three people received the Holy Spirit which was a wonderful blessing to be present at the moment of their salvation. These beautiful people welcomed......
On the Sunday just passed I was privileged to attend a meeting in the new hall in Nairobi Kenya. A little more than two years ago Pastor Victor and I saw the beginning of this assembly when around 18 to 20 received the Holy Spirit. Now the church is around 70 to 80 persons strong. It never gets boring going over the fundamentals of the salvation doctrine and walking in the Spirit. It is inspiring to see very young people taking hold of the Gospel and doing something with it as their......
We had our first ever public outreach in Mombasa, Kenya today. The Pastors from the four assemblies were asked to work together and plan this outreach as the first of many to come in Kenya. I am very happy to report that they came together and did a wonderful job considering they had not ever done anything like this before. We spent the morning walking around Bombululu in Mombasa witnessing to people and inviting people along. During the open air outreach, we created quite an interest and one person came back saying......
The Christchurch Assembly hosted the New Zealand Convention for 2018, at ‘The Piano’ in central Christchurch. The theme for this year was ‘In His Image’ reminding us that we were created in God’s image, and now we’re called to have a connection to Him through the Holy Spirit experience. We were treated to a variety of talks on the theme, with speakers from all over New Zealand and Australia. The Piano (Christchurch Centre for Music and the Arts) was the venue for the convention and it had terrific acoustics. This meant amazing......
I grew up in a very loving family. We didn’t go to church, but I always believed in God. Never went without anything. Finished school started my first job. Not long after I was married. Due to the loss of my dad, a pregnancy which didn’t work out and having achieved financial goals, I began thinking there must be more to life. I started asking questions about life and God, went along to a friend’s church to see what it was like. I worked with a guy for seven years and noticed......
I wasn’t brought up in any religion and was open minded, always finding myself reading books about different philosophies and looking for truth and purpose in life. I was invited to a Revival Centres Church meeting and decided to get baptised in water to see if there was anything in this experience. I was praying and spoke in an unknown tongue in the baptismal tank and instantly knew God was alive, I’d found the truth and happiness I’d been searching for. In 1987 I had prayer for a damaged disc in my......
