Melbourne Youngies Launch Camp

Melbourne Youngies kicked the year off with a weekend away at Freshwater Creek Camp. We started on the Thursday night as everyone arrived from far and wide with guests from New South Wales and country Victorian assemblies joining us as well. Friday we had a morning meeting with gospel choruses, testimonies of God working in people lives and talks from the Bible. The afternoon activity was a drive to Eastern Beach in Geelong for jetty jumping and a swim; we were fortunate to catch an air show and fabulous Australia Day celebrations.......

Harrietville VIC Christmas Camp

The Harrietville camp has come and gone in quick time and proved to be a very successful replacement for Halls Gap. We had 100 folk being a good mix from Queensland, South Australia,Tasmania as well as Victoria. A big thank you to Sharna, Connor and staff at Feathertop who have been great to work with and did more for us than we expected. There was lots of prayer, talks and items with good humour and co-operation and plenty of sightseeing was enjoyed by many in the beautiful mountain area. The fishing was......

Hanmer Springs NZ Christmas Camp

The Annual New Zealand South Island Camp held in the alpine town of Hanmer Springs was attended by 70-odd people over the end of 2017 and the start of 2018. Attendees at the camp enjoyed the beautiful sunshine (after the initial poor weather cleared) as well as the various walk and bike tracks, cafes, shops, and the famous Thermal Hot Pools that were on offer. The Youngies especially enjoyed the “tic-tic-tic” of young scootering hooligans who rattled the pavement early in the morning. Word on the street was that Pastor Dave’s snoring......

Whangaehu NZ Christmas Camp

Camp Whangaehu, situated in the North Island of New Zealand hosted 200+ people for the RCC Christmas get-together. The camp started off cold and wet, which gave us the opportunity to get to know each other in close proximity, however when the sun eventually came out, the Youngies gladly discovered the beach. While the meetings and fellowship were second to none, our New Years Eve event was the eye opener of the camp, where we stepped out of our comfort zones and did something completely different. The night started with Nutella Dessert......

Freshwater Creek VIC Christmas Camp

In a world filled with “crazy people doing crazy things”, Freshwater Creek camp was an oasis of godly and profound ponderings, interspersed with, of course, “crazy people doing crazy things”!!! Of course difference was the content. Joyful singing, inspired testimonies chock-full of overcoming and miracles, talks filled with wisdom and thought provoking ideas designed to take us into a new year where there will be challenges. But we have been reminded to stand together, and that It’s not about us and what we can get from God, but about reflecting God’s Glory......

Bowen Christmas Camp

Bowen is a town 2 hours south of Townsville on the coast at the top of the Whitsundays. We met at the local Bowen State High School hall for our meetings, where we enjoyed gospel music, testimonies of God working in people’s lives, talks from the Bible and items ranging from musical to skits. New Years’ Eve was filled with activities, music and supper of course! We were encouraged for the year ahead and reminded of our theme scripture ‘Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these......

Victorian Young Revivalists' Camps

Young Revivalists’ Camp 2017 was, undeniably, a rousing success. Choruses were sung at belting volumes, canoes were capsized, teams were built up and pushed to their limits, sausages were burnt and the damper was, as always, burnt on the outside, raw and gooey on the inside. Every year Victorian assemblies play host to kids from far and wide of all shapes, sizes and dispositions. Camp provides an exciting and unique opportunity for Revival Centre Church’s younger members to run the show. Kids run the meetings, give the talks, make up the band,......

European Camp in Italy

The European Camp at Valles, Italy. As well as fellowship, items and all-around fun, time was spent considering our approach and our motivation. During a day-long seminar led by Pastor Simon and Pastor Geoff from Melbourne, working groups came up with thoughts and ideas on how we approach people. A lot of consideration was given to 1 Corinthians 13, and our motivation of love, and what that means for us. Great encouragement to an audience of Polish, Italian, German, British, New Zealand and Australian saints. Professional translators were used for the day-long......

European Young Peoples Camp

Sunny skies, delicious Italian food and great fellowship – what more could you want out of a youngies camp? Our third European YP Camp this year took us to the beautiful Lake Garda, about two hours from Milan. About 30 young(ish) people from the UK, Italy, Australia and NZ all gathered in Malcesine, a small village on the picturesque, to enjoy the last weekend of April together and rejoice in the Lord. With the weather on our side, our first day saw the group take a cable car to Monte Baldo, with the......
