The annual Dubbo and Mudgee assembly retreat at Wyangala Dam was enjoyed by all over the past weekend. With the theme being ‘unity’, we took encouragement from scripture and conversation with one another. We were reminded of the wonderful relationship we each have with God and how we can work together to build each other up spiritually. Here are the accounts of the weekend from a couple of the children. On the weekend we got to go camping. We saw lots of kangaroos and animals. We didn’t see many fish. I......
The sky was blue, the sun was shining, the kangaroos were hopping and the spirit was moving. In the first week of Victoria’s school holidays, Melbourne hosted our annual Young Revivalists Camp at Camp Weekaway in Lancefield, Victoria. It was another successful year. This year’s camp theme was strength: ‘He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might he increaseth strength’ Isaiah 40v29. Fittingly, our three teams represented strength as illustrated in the Bible: Unicorns, Lions and Eagles. We heard talks during the week from our very young......
We recently visited the Sigatoka Assembly for an uplifting visit with Pr. Apenesa, his lovely wife Kini and a fiery, fun loving, God fearing family of Saints. Thank you for such warm hospitality, beautiful singing, joyous testimony, reading the Word and the love you shared with us. The Sigatoka Saints would love to have you visit them… A map below from Nadi. It’s an easy and lovely drive to get there. Here are a few snippets of our wonderful time this day, much love to you all and hope to see you soon again.......
Greetings and God Bless from Morobe Zone, PNG, to everyone! During the month of May, we are having exciting stuff here in Morobe Zone. On Saturday, 12th May 2018, we had a new house meeting hall opening at 3 Mile in Lae. Many thanks to Pastor Simon Beles and the 3 mile community for tireless effort in building the hall. Amazingly, the hall was built by a non-church member with help from mostly kids. It was a great time of fellowship and as we continue to move the Lord’s work. The turn......
The Easter Camp at Freshwater Creek is always a short one but a welcome break from our busy lives. We are able to get away from everyday life with like-minded people and really contemplate the things of God. The theme of the camp was “He is the Rock, so let’s roll.” What great inspiration for some wonderful talks! We were reminded that we are the body of Christ and that Jesus is the head, we have liberty in Christ through the Holy Spirit. We also have stability in the Holy Spirit as......
In a world filled with “crazy people doing crazy things”, Freshwater Creek camp was an oasis of godly and profound ponderings, interspersed with, of course, “crazy people doing crazy things”!!! Of course difference was the content. Joyful singing, inspired testimonies chock-full of overcoming and miracles, talks filled with wisdom and thought provoking ideas designed to take us into a new year where there will be challenges. But we have been reminded to stand together, and that It’s not about us and what we can get from God, but about reflecting God’s Glory......
On Sunday 15th October we celebrated the children at the Melbourne Central assembly with our annual “Book Night” presentation. This is traditionally an end-of-year event, but we thought we’d try running it a little earlier to avoid conflicts with all the other events that pop up in December and were rewarded with a fantastic turnout. The chorus session was a little more interactive than usual, including some classic Sunday School songs with actions. After some encouraging words from Pastor Simon the children were called up in family groups to receive their books.......
Young Revivalists’ Camp 2017 was, undeniably, a rousing success. Choruses were sung at belting volumes, canoes were capsized, teams were built up and pushed to their limits, sausages were burnt and the damper was, as always, burnt on the outside, raw and gooey on the inside. Every year Victorian assemblies play host to kids from far and wide of all shapes, sizes and dispositions. Camp provides an exciting and unique opportunity for Revival Centre Church’s younger members to run the show. Kids run the meetings, give the talks, make up the band,......
On the last Sunday in July, Box Hill assembly catered and hosted a three course festive feast for 200 people. The evening was ably hosted by Alex Pal who looked resplendent in his fabulous Christmas Suit! ‘In Achord’ provided a capella Christmas carols to enhance the festive mood. The evening was a fundraiser in aid of the Vermont South Lion’s Club who were raising money to provide water for needy overseas communities. A selection of jam packed hampers and a beautifully handmade crocheted blanket were auctioned for the cause. The Young Leo’s......
The Melbourne Southern Assembly gathered for the final meeting for the year in the Mt Eliza Community Centre last Sunday. Everything was packed into the meeting including the Sunday School Book Presentation, Sunday School play (the story of Gideon & the Midianites), a sterling talk by Pastor Ian Pask, communal afternoon tea and singing items from the local house meetings and other artists....
