Tanzania Visit Report

Today I went to the RCC meeting at Kigamboni in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. It took me 2 hours to reach there – 3 kms on foot, a 5-minute ferry ride, a 25-minute ride in a shared minibus and another minute on foot. The singing, like all the singing in Africa and the Pacific Islands was wonderful as were the many testimonials, especially that of P. Michael’s miraculous recovery. A couple of weeks ago, he was virtually at death’s door and Jonathan, who is a doctor, feared for his father’s life. Now,......

Personal Story: Jacky

I wasn’t brought up in any religion and was open minded, always finding myself reading books about different philosophies and looking for truth and purpose in life.  I was invited to a Revival Centres Church meeting and decided to get baptised in water to see if there was anything in this experience. I was praying and spoke in an unknown tongue in the baptismal tank and instantly knew God was alive, I’d found the truth and happiness I’d been searching for.  In 1987 I had prayer for a damaged disc in my......

Personal Story: Michael

Alcohol was destroying my life In April 1990 after 16 years of marriage and four children. My life was ruined because of alcoholism. After an argument, I left home to sort my self out. Although I had tried in the past, I just couldn’t change. Why is my life a mess? In desperation I called out to God-“The sun rises and sets every day for thousands of years but I am only here for a short life. Why am I here, why did you make me, why is my life such a......

Personal Story: Glenn

Having left home when I was 16 years old, I managed to get involved in just about everything that was not wholesome and sound and by the time I got to 18 I was a drug dealer and became ill as a result of my drug habits. This turned out to be life threatening. I was given at that time 3 months to live. I returned home to be cared for by my parents. Being the kind of people they were, they tried what they could to help me and took me......

My parents introduced me to the truth about the gospel when I was a child.  I knew I had to repent, as I couldn’t achieve my own righteousness. The Lord gave me that same powerful proof described in Acts 2 in the Bible.  I asked Him for the Holy Spirit and knew without a doubt that He had answered when I miraculously spoke out in a fluent language that I had never learnt.  I’ll never forget that moment and tears of joy flowed as I felt an amazing peace and happiness. I......

My cheeky chop daughter has turned 2! And for some reason I feel compelled to share her story. I know many parents refer to their kids as their ‘miracle’ or ‘gift’ but this kid truly fits the bill. When I was 14 I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (a common story, I know). At this point the GP flagged that this would affect my fertility but I’m 14 so no biggy. Sometime in my early 20’s I wound up in ED with epic abdo pain. The hospital does an ultrasound to......

From birth, I have attended the Revival Centres Church. Many could say that my support of the church was purely due to following family traditions or expectations, however there is a bible based reason for my continued diligence. At the age of 10, I received the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in an unknown tongue and afterwards I was baptised as directed in the bible in Acts 10:43-48. The fact that I have experienced the same outpouring of the Holy Spirit as on the day of Pentecost is proof that it......

I have lived a very blessed life. Blessed doesn’t always mean everything goes your way and blessed doesn’t mean you don’t get sad. To me, blessed is knowing. It is a contentment in a knowledge of the truth.  I have spirit filled parents, and was brought up attending church every Sunday. Around the age of 9 or 10 I was aware that a lot of my friends were seeking for, or being filled with the Holy Spirit. I didn’t want to be left out so started attending meetings for the children who......

Personal Story: Justine

I was brought up always going to church and knowing there was a God but when I was 11 I had my first direct experience with God, where I received the Holy Spirit and spoke in a language I didn’t know. From that moment I knew all the things I’d heard when I was growing up were true and that God was real. In my life I’ve had to call on God for many things; from social struggles, family issues to physical injuries and God has intervened in all of these. There......

Personal Story: Jess

My parents started coming along to Revival Centres before I was born so I was brought up knowing the Bible and understanding that to be saved you need to receive the Holy Spirit and be baptised by full immersion. I started seeking for the Holy Spirit from a young age but really only wanted to receive because that’s what everyone else was doing and it seemed like a good thing to do. I eventually received at a Young Revivalists camp in 2006 and was later baptised back at home. It was only......
