Victorian Young Revivalists' Camps

Young Revivalists’ Camp 2017 was, undeniably, a rousing success. Choruses were sung at belting volumes, canoes were capsized, teams were built up and pushed to their limits, sausages were burnt and the damper was, as always, burnt on the outside, raw and gooey on the inside. Every year Victorian assemblies play host to kids from far and wide of all shapes, sizes and dispositions. Camp provides an exciting and unique opportunity for Revival Centre Church’s younger members to run the show. Kids run the meetings, give the talks, make up the band,......

Freshwater Creek Christmas Camp

The end of 2016 brought with it a huge sigh of relief. Another year over, another opportunity to find ourselves in the company of the saints, ready to recharge and reset for the new year. At the Freshwater Creek Christmas Camp, we did exactly that. It was a week or so, more for some, of meetings, items, fellowship, bug spray, beach visits and coffee runs. Grey weather and reluctant sunshine meant lots of opportunities to sit in caravans and share testimonies. Many spent their leisure time shooting hoops on the basketball court......

Junior Camp Teams.

“That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of man, but stand in the power of God” 1 Corinthians 2:5 As the kids all gather in the lounge room after dumping their suitcases, bagging the top or bottom bunk and hiding their contraband lollies from the leaders a buzz of excitement grows – Young Revivalists Camp 2016 has officially begun! This year the theme was ‘Leaders of Faith’ with the kids learning and writing skits about Deborah, Joshua and Jeremiah. Among the song and play writing there is plenty of time......

Colour Fight!

Another year of camp has come and gone and we’re exhausted, completely spent but utterly thrilled to see our kids grow in the church, through the fellowship and their relationship with God. Camp kicked off with the start of the school holidays as kids boarded the bus on an early Saturday morning. We had a few guests travel from interstate this year, quite the trek to make, but certainly worth it for those kids from smaller assemblies who rarely get to see kids their own age. Our yearly jaunt to Weekaway was......

Southern Cake Stall

This year the Victorian Young Revivalists’ Camp runs from Saturday September 17th through to Sunday the 25th and is open to children from 10 years old & up. Further details to follow on the website events area soon....

South Queensland Children’s Camp 2015

Enjoying the conditions and facilities at Allawah Scout Camp, we again returned to this venue to hold our Children’s Camp where 29 children were in attendance. The theme this year was ‘Trees’. With three teams of seven and one of eight, the team trees were Cedar, Fig, Olive and Palm. The kids presented plays on these trees and we had a few talks on trees in general and some specific ones. We rate this year’s camp as one of the best with the attitude and co-operation of all the kids of an......

Victorian Junior Young Revivalists Camp

Another year, another September and another successful year of Young Revivalists’ Camp has passed. Nothing quite matches the excitement of fresh young faces arriving for camp at Weekaway. Full of expectation and a little apprehension, they launch themselves in to every moment with joy and occasionally reckless abandon. The 2015 camp was no exception. Kids came together from as far as Adelaide and Hobart, Victorian country and city assemblies to get to know one another and rejoice in the Lord. Every day was filled with new activities and a lot of noise.......

Victorian Senior Young Revivalists Camp

Young Revivalist Senior camp kicked off early on Saturday morning, while all the young revivalists on the bus were far too awake for that time of morning the leaders on the bus contemplated what they had signed up for. There were the usual activities run including flying fox, archery, craft and canoeing – the young revivalists found new motivation through the leaders ingenious use of water balloons which improved the young revivalist performance greatly and brought everyone closer together. Some new activities were also initiated with the choice to learn and grow......
