Port Moresby - Wedding

There has been a slow start for the Port Moresby Assembly with not many events happening within the church since the beginning of 2019. As we are slowing winding down 2019, couple of few exciting events happened. On 16th November 2019, all church members, families and friends gathered together at Ela Murray International School to witness a new chapter of life unfold for Br Johan Victor Lolo and Sr Fiona Yangin. The Celebrant, Pastor Jonah Malu gladly orchestrated the flow of the wedding ceremony from the start to the end – about......

Tiring but inspiring - Pastor Graeme McKinstry, Dunedin

Most adventures begin with a single step, but mine began with several flights before I found myself standing on PNG soil in Port Moresby. Along the way, I stopped off in Brisbane, via Christchurch, to stay with the ever hospitable Ryans while enjoying the Brisbane meetings on Sunday. Monday morning meant another flight, this time to Port Moresby, where we enjoyed a relaxed dinner with some of the saints. Tuesday morning, another flight, this time to Wewak when the real journey begins. Originally we were meant to catch a flight up to......

Wyangala NSW Weekend Camp

The Dubbo and Mudgee Assemblies met at Wyangala Dam, near Cowra for our annual camp. The camp has plenty of accommodation with great facilities and lots to do nearby with water activities and local tracks to explore 4×4. We were encouraged with short talks of encouragement from the Bible, see below for some highlights. The camp is an opportunity to have fellowship together, sharing testimonies and building each other up. It’s always a highlight at this time of the year, held on the second weekend in November each year and all are......

Auckland NZ Rally – Contending for the Faith

On the last weekend of October members from the six assemblies from the North and South Islands of New Zealand, a good representation from Australia, and Pastor Apenisa from Sigatoka, Fiji, met in Auckland. This annual gathering took on a different approach this year by being held at the Waipuna Conference Centre. With most visitors staying at the venue, which included some first-class catering and meeting arrangements all under the same roof – it was wall to wall convenience. The venue worked very well, especially for those who had journeyed from abroad.......

One of the three Melbourne Assemblies located in Box Hill, hosted their annual Sunday School Book Night last Sunday. The communion meeting talk had a focus on raising children, later in the meeting the children were invited on stage to sing some choruses, actions and all! Families were called to the stage to receive their books, speaking into the microphone proved popular with some of the young ones! The meeting was a great opportunity to celebrate the young families, that make up the whole family of God....

Malawi Visit

We just arrived back from the latest trip to Malawi. There were 10 of us from all across Australia that went; the group was headed by John and Gilbert Nayna. For most of the trip we had 9 Malawians traveling with us: Pastor Nelson (Head Pastor in Malawi), Pastor Eric, Pastor Dickson, Pastor David (new and first Pastor in Zimbabwe). As youth leaders and interpreters, we had Francis, Innocent, Albert, Ruth and Christina, who are all youth leaders in Blantyre and are involved in the choir. The team we travelled with were......

South Queensland Rally

Heartbeat, we all have one if we are alive. God gave man seventy or eighty years give or take, free of charge. He told man to have dominion in the world. However, mankind didn’t listen to God and went his own way – well, how has that turned out. God gave us His Son. He loved us that much, to allow His only begotten to spill his blood to fix the problem mankind has caused. Jesus has given those that believe “His Words”, a new heart, one that beats the Words of......

Victorian Young Revivalists Junior Camp

Last week our annual Young Revivalist Camps were held at Camp Weekaway in Lancefield, Victoria. The Junior Camp for children of Grades 3 to 6 was short, but sweet. The primary aged kids piled in on Wednesday with bags, bedding and enthusiasm ready for four days of fun, friendship and spiritual growth. With no phone reception, no WiFi and less distractions, camp provides the perfect opportunity for all of us to focus on the things of the Lord surrounded by likeminded friends. This year’s theme of the camp was ‘RUN THE RACE’......
