All my life (from as young as I can remember) I have always believed there was a God. In some weird way I was so scared of Him! I was raised by catholic parents who, although they weren’t really practicing, they had a reverence towards the Lord. My parents met in the Revival Centres Church in Brisbane, so I grew up with the privilege of being surrounded by spirit-filled christians. My childhood was spent going to Sunday School every week, learning all about Jesus and how He died and rose again for us and being taught that in order to obtain salvation, I needed to receive God’s Holy Spirit. Thank you for taking the time to read my personal testimony of how God is real in my life. I was raised in a spirit filled family. My mother, father and my sisters had all received the Holy Spirit with the bible evidence of speaking in tongues. It was in the early 1980’s that I heard the gospel of salvation. I heard this message from a hitch hiker that my brother had given a lift to. His name was George Perry, and he was hiking with what looked like an expensive guitar judging from the case. I have lived a very blessed life. Blessed doesn’t always mean everything goes your way and blessed doesn’t mean you don’t get sad. To me, blessed is knowing.
