Christmas in Winter Dinner Night

The Melbourne assembly recently hosted the ‘Christmas in Winter’ themed dinner night at the Box Hill hall. There were nearly 200 people packed into the artfully decorated dining room; feasting on roast turkey and beef… closely followed by chocolate mousse, raspberry pavlova and sticky date pudding. If there is something at which RCI members’ excel… it’s eating. To create the ‘Festive Season’ feel, Christmas carols were sung by everyone, ably accompanied by Joel Murray on the piano accordion. Congratulations to those behind the scenes working their fingers to the bone to create and serve the magnificent spread. Can’t wait until the next opportunity to gorge ourselves…

The Melbourne assembly in Australia began just after World War 2. It is the headquarters for the Revival Centres Church globally. It is composed of three centres: Central (in Box Hill), Southern (in Mt Eliza) and Western (in Williamstown).
