Freshwater Creek Christmas Camp 2014

We enjoyed a great Christmas Camp this year down at Freshwater Creek, with a solid turnout of ages young and old making the voyage to get away and be treated to edifying ministry and quality fellowship. There were talks by speakers from city and country assemblies alike, with a wide range of topics, chocolate analogies and biblical stories, all talks having the same message straight from the bible.

New Year’s Eve was a treat with the theme ‘Flower Power: the 70’s’ with everyone dressing up for the occasion, from colourful combinations to hideous old suits and there was no shortage of wigs! The entertainment for the night included cringe worthy karaoke songs, adorable children items, a 70’s Quiz, a flashback to the 70’s in fashion, news and RCI history, a massive range of items and much more. New Year’s Eve itself was celebrated with a countdown accompanied by a huge supper for everyone and countless party poppers and streamers to welcome the New Year.

The camp continued until the 9th of January, in the meantime we had meetings and got to enjoy all the new amenities and activities at camp. With the Great Ocean Road, heaps of beaches around, Geelong around the corner, there was no shortage of things to do when down at Freshie. Thanks to all those who came along and made Freshie so enjoyable this year, book yourself in for Easter Camp which is coming up fast!

The Melbourne assembly in Australia began just after World War 2. It is the headquarters for the Revival Centres Church globally. It is composed of three centres: Central (in Box Hill), Southern (in Mt Eliza) and Western (in Williamstown).
