Freshwater Creek VIC Christmas Camp

In a world filled with “crazy people doing crazy things”, Freshwater Creek camp was an oasis of godly and profound ponderings, interspersed with, of course, “crazy people doing crazy things”!!! Of course difference was the content. Joyful singing, inspired testimonies chock-full of overcoming and miracles, talks filled with wisdom and thought provoking ideas designed to take us into a new year where there will be challenges. But we have been reminded to stand together, and that It’s not about us and what we can get from God, but about reflecting God’s Glory and following God’s Plan in our speech and praise and attitudes and fellowship.

There were nights filled with laughter where we played RPGs even if we didn’t know what they were, and proved whether the oldies or youngies were more … something …
We were taught how to parent… and how not to parent. And how to make pancakes by Pastor Ian Pask. You can imagine what that was like – and you’d probably be right.

We return a bit dustier but totally uplifted. Tired but blessed. A new year of opportunities to do the work of the Lord.
