Greens Beach (TAS) Easter Camp

For the last 33 years we have been coming to Greens Beach on the northern coast of Tasmania to enjoy the Easter break and fellowship with the saints. This year was no exception to the enjoyment we experienced from the wonderful fellowship and inspiring ministry.

The weather was fabulous with brilliant sunshine and warm days, just perfect to sit around our vans, tents and cabins, sharing delicious morning teas including freshly baked scones with home made jam and cream.

The night meetings were something to behold with boisterous chorus sessions, wonderful testimonies and talks with the theme of Jesus the man, and the spiritual man.

After the meetings, fellowship was enjoyed and stories told around the roaring fire box made from an old washing machine bowl.

Sunday communion meeting was held in the large marquee, followed by an egg hunt around the camp much to the delight of the many children who participated. Then the campers were split into four teams and sent on a treasure hunt involving cryptic clues to solve as well as building sand castles on the beach. Photos were taken and judgement passed by Donna at that night’s meeting to announce the winning team. Thanks to David who brought all the images together to be shown on the big screen.

The perfect weather finally broke up on the Monday night with persistent rain. Not to be discouraged, the remaining saints met in one of the cabins that night and enjoyed choruses, testimonies and an interesting talk from Pastor Fred. Once again, we congratulate Pastor Bruce and Donna for organising a wonderful Easter Camp, and all the great work they do with the Launceston saints to bring it all together. Already looking forward to next year!
