The Launceston Assembly hosted saints at the Greens Beach caravan park in the north of Tasmania over the Easter long weekend. With the marquee set up and the sun out, we were ready for a weekend of fun and fellowship.
Each day we were treated to talks from the scriptures, the first covering the true Easter story, why did Jesus have to die on the cross? To die for our sins and make the Holy Spirit available to anyone who would seek for it. The second about in between, when Jesus had been sacrificed, before He rose again. Finally, what happened as a result of Jesus’ sacrifice, the Holy Spirit was poured out on the day of Pentecost and is still available today to anyone who will ask.
Everyday we had activities which ranged from walks and hikes to a hit of tennis and sitting around the camp fire. The Sunday saw everyone break into groups to film mini movies of Bible stories around Greens Beach. These films were presented in the evening with popcorn and ice cream. They were very entertaining and made all the better with a positive message from scripture.
Camp was a great boost to all involved with quality ministry, a variety of testimonies of what God has done in peoples lives and gospel music to cap it off. Thank you to those who made the camp happen, see you next year.
