Holy Spirit continues to surge in PNG
by Mission News
Arriving in PNG, we are immediately back riding the wave of Revival that has swept the country since 1982.
MOUNT HAGEN
We today started with the usual colour and ceremony of another Revival Centres gathering: the welcome line and song; Zone Pastor welcome; preaching from Pastor Simon and Pastor Darcy; items, testimonies, cutting the ribbon at the hall entrance. Then the pièce de résistance – 13 baptisms!! Praise the Lord!
TARI
Is a place in the mountains at the top of the Southern Highlands, a beautiful place for a Revival Centre, with cool mornings (9c) and warm days. During the few days we were here, we started with an outreach in the Market Place, concluding with a hall opening and combined fellowship. To top it off we had 9 baptisms over the 3 amazing days.
Tari and the Hela District are now on the map for Revival Centres.
MADANG (KANANAM)
We have just concluded an oversight meeting and hall opening in beautiful Kananam – a picture perfect location on the shores of tropical Madang. The people here are focussed and are keen to advance the Gospel with signs following. What a place!
MADANG (Main Hall Opening)
This is a great day for the Madang main centre, years of planning and building has produced a fantastic hall for the town centre. It is in a great location near the airport main junction.
Youth Leader Joel Hulme had the honour of cutting the ribbon to declare the hall as open. A great time of fellowship, items, dramas , testimonies and ministry and a final oversight meeting took place over 6 hours.
This finishes our stay in Madang and our last few days of this trip will be in Lae, before heading home to Australia.
LAE
Our visit is a nearing the end, but we are still surprised at what the brothers and sister in Lae can show us. Our last few days have started with the opening of a new house meeting hall at Nadzab. Arriving at the village we were stopped by the Yatsing Drummers, where we followed the entourage to the new centre – it was an awesome sight!
The drummer men would certainly challenge the Kiwi Haka. The beat of the drum and the amazing sound it produced allowed us to walk the final distance in harmony with the Nadzab saints.
An amazing day of fellowship.
Our final meeting was held at the Main Centre – Busa. This gathering was a combined fellowship that included items and ministry. Pastor Simon spoke about the legacy of Pastor Lloyd Longfield, he encouraged the folk that they should also bring a good legacy of their own, as they continue the preaching the gospel.

CONCLUSION
The work in PNG continues to surge with new centres opening as halls are built right around the country. The gospel has now spread to the ‘upper most parts’ of this diverse nation. Whilst we have been travelling on this trip a new centre was also opened in Buka. Buka being situated on Buka Island, Bougainville Province. A long way from where we are in Lae.
