Malawi Adventure 2014 – the adventure begins!

Our delegation, headed up by John and Gilbert Nayna includes Barbara Maskell, Britt  Vonow, Graham Downs, Michael Lagreca, Chris and Jenna Polson, and Rita and Peter Salafia.

We flew out of Melbourne Friday night at 7:00pm local time via Perth (4 hours) headed for Johannesburg (11 hours 45 mins).  A quick stopover there and then onto Blantyre in Malawi (2 hours) where we basically hit the ground running with fellowship and oversight meetings.

The first meeting attended was at the Chirimba (Blantyre) centre. A great meeting with testimonies from Britt and Jenna and several local folks. Items followed with the challenge now for us to match the home grown talent! After that, John and Gilbert facilitated an oversight meeting. Chris, Michael and Graham gave a short talk each followed by general encouragement for the pastors and youth leaders.

Whilst the oversight meeting was in progress the ladies were kept busy with the Sunday School children and their mums.  Jenna was saying over dinner tonight that trying to get a photo of the kids was an interesting exercise. They would all stand in front of the camera and then at the last minute they would all run around to see what the picture looked like before it was even taken!

After such a great day of fellowship we had dinner at our accommodation whilst being entertained by some local musicians.  All very noice indeedy!

After 17 hours flying time plus several hours of ‘stop-over’ it is off to bed for this weary crew.

God bless. We will give a daily update.

There are Revival Centres in many parts of the world - some in third-world countries. Stories here target visits to our "Missions". All of our missions are completely run by locals, with occasional visits from people from other parts of the world.
