Melbourne Biennial Conference

Two thousand and fourteen marks the hottest Melbourne rally yet. The weather outside was warm, but the ministry inside the Box this year was on fire, stoking us all up to get our zeal burning and get out there to tell people about our hope.

God didn’t let us wander around the theme-less wilderness for long, a clear message soon emerged from our able bodied pastoral community, entreating us to love God and love our neighbours by illuminating our testimony, our faith in the Lord and telling people they can be more than just another brick in the wall. It was compelling, up-lifting and visually-stimulating stuff, folks!

Fellowship, fun and frivolities were plentiful. We were blessed with testimonies from brothers and sisters from PNG to Kuala Lumpur, from Melbourne to Brisbane. The youngies and a few brave and very hip-to-the-jive oldies rocked out on the Sunday night to our talented musicians at Battle of the Bands, which I can confidently say, was smokin’.

On Monday we tuned into “On the Couch” hosted by everyone’s favourite physics scientist, Neil Farr. The topic this year was “Our Vision” and the panels were set: youngies and the middle-aged pastors. The vision of the people who will take God’s word and his church into the future is at 20:20 and going strong.

If you weren’t able to make it down and missed the live streaming, then never fear! The computers have been awake all weekend burning and churning out DVDs – so whether you’re catching up on the rally from home or re-living the moments, our tireless team of computer savvy techs have DVDs for sale today!

That’s it from us until 2016 folks. See you at the Dubbo rally this coming October! God Bless.

The Melbourne assembly in Australia began just after World War 2. It is the headquarters for the Revival Centres Church globally. It is composed of three centres: Central (in Box Hill), Southern (in Mt Eliza) and Western (in Williamstown).
