Melbourne Christmas in July Dinner Night

On the last Sunday in July, Box Hill assembly catered and hosted a three course festive feast for 200 people. The evening was ably hosted by Alex Pal who looked resplendent in his fabulous Christmas Suit! ‘In Achord’ provided a capella Christmas carols to enhance the festive mood.

The evening was a fundraiser in aid of the Vermont South Lion’s Club who were raising money to provide water for needy overseas communities. A selection of jam packed hampers and a beautifully handmade crocheted blanket were auctioned for the cause.

The Young Leo’s from Vermont Secondary College were involved in plating, serving and cleaning up afterwards. The evening was a great success for the Lion’s Club and a great opportunity for the RCC to be involved in the local community.

The Melbourne assembly in Australia began just after World War 2. It is the headquarters for the Revival Centres Church globally. It is composed of three centres: Central (in Box Hill), Southern (in Mt Eliza) and Western (in Williamstown).
