Melbourne Rally My Redeemer Lives

We’ve just concluded an epic weekend @The Box in Melbourne. People from as far away as Perth and New Zealand gathered in Melbourne for this year’s biannual Rally.

With the “meet and greet” hosted by the youth group this year. The event was off to a flying start.

Pastor Simon hosted a leaders gathering on Saturday morning which emphasized the importance of our God-given unity.

The entire weekend of ministry, testimonies, videos from abroad, items, and plenty of chorus singing, was both energizing and uplifting.

The Sunday evening featured the play “The Making of Job” which was written, produced, and mainly performed by people in the Western Centre of Melbourne. It was compelling, and at times emotional watching Job come to terms with such difficulty and never losing his faith in God – a lesson for us all!

The Rally was an absolute success – people left feeling pumped and keen to get back to preaching the Gospel in their local areas! This year’s Rally was so well patronised that our chef’s had to head out in the early hours of the morning to buy extra supplies!

An innovation this year was an added evening meeting hosted by the youth of the Church. It was a fitting end to a fabulous weekend and a definite inclusion in future occasions.

A special “callout” and thankyou to all those that laboured behind the scenes. The teams of people who prepared meals, secured carparks, emptied bins, made coffee, etc. The commitment was definitely next level.

The icing on the cake though, were that a number of people were baptized and received the Holy Spirit. “I know” my Redeemer lives will have special meaning for them!

See you next time!

The Melbourne assembly in Australia began just after World War 2. It is the headquarters for the Revival Centres Church globally. It is composed of three centres: Central (in Box Hill), Southern (in Mt Eliza) and Western (in Williamstown).
