Melbourne Y Factor

Last Saturday evening was the annual showcase of past, current and ‘up & coming’ talent of the musical variety in the RCI, at the ‘Y Factor’ concert (otherwise known as ‘Battle of the Bands’).
It was a great night of friendly competition between the teams Vision and Sorted as well as guest acts from Ballarat and Bellarine assemblies. The entertainment compassed not only solo performers, but also trios and large group items. Country, a cappella, jazz and rock were all well represented and it was the perfect opportunity for visitors to hear gospel music from our young people.

Let’s not forget the food side of things….. tea & coffee, soft serve ice cream with assorted toppings….. who could ask for more?!
Huge thanks to the team who co-ordinated set-up, audio, lighting (including the random smoke machine?!) and of course to the teams for the hours of practice behind the scenes. It all came together for a great night of fellowship!

The Melbourne assembly in Australia began just after World War 2. It is the headquarters for the Revival Centres Church globally. It is composed of three centres: Central (in Box Hill), Southern (in Mt Eliza) and Western (in Williamstown).
