Melbourne Youngies Old School Sports Night
The Melbourne Youngies literally made their own fun this week with an Old School Sports Night held at the Hall. With dozens of local newspapers skillfully molded into hitting implements, body armour and Pom Poms the NHL (AKA ‘Newspaper Hockey League’) got under way. If a stray hockey stick didn’t get you, carpet burn definately did as team Vision and team Sorted battled it out in two 15 minute halves. In closely fought out battle, Vision snared the victory, inspired by the faithful cheer leaders on the sidelines who were never in doubt!
‘Team Sorted” “Team Vision”
Next up was Dodgeball, Best out of 5! Teams fearlessly launched dodgeballs with reckless ease from either side of the mezanine! From all reports there were no injuries to be had and even more surprisingly, all light fitings remained intact! Scores were tied 2 all heading into the fifth and final game. Team huddles were called and final battle plans were drawn. It was an intense last game, as no one wanted to back down, But in the end Sorted claimed the win 3 games to 2. With cries of ‘best out of 7!!’ from the Vision Camp denied by the Ref, hands were shook and supper was had. All in all a good night had by everyone! Who ever thought you could have so much fun with a stack of newspapers, a bit of tape and some $3 balls from Kmart!! Good Times
“Gooooooooooooo Team!!”

What a fantastic night! There was slight carpet burn but other than that had a ball of a time. Go Team Vision!
