Last weekend the Melbourne Youngies met up with the Young Revivalists at Lysterfield Lake for the annual Raft Race. The day was cloudy, but the competition was real, Melbourne Youngies teams of Power and Ignite were competing against the Young Revivalists, assisted by some handy parents. After an hour or so of building, the first race was off with Ignite’s raft imploding… Power’s raft limping to the finish line and the Young Revivalists triumphant! Sadly for the Youngies, this was the theme for the rest of the day. We ended the race with a BBQ and fellowship on the lawns by the water. A great day of fun for all ages in the assembly with many visitors keen to see what we were up to and joining in on the day.
