Melbourne Youngies Y Factor

The proverbial ‘Fat Lady’ has sung, and it is all over … however the buzz is still reverberating through the air of all those who came, saw and rocked.

That’s right, it was the Y-FACTOR 2012.

And just what was the Y-factor, you may ask?? That was the secret ingredient, the catalyst for a fantastic night of rock, pop and metallic gospel. From all that Yaz to yummy ice-ice cream baby, the youngies have it all.

The night saw the three teams (Vision, Sorted and Eternal [aka ‘Bruce’]) battle it out, with talent sprouting up from new and old faces. Featuring sets from J-Blues, TWO:38, Chunky Fruit Salad and Here Comes the Son, the talent in the air was thicker than the fog being exhaled from the smoke machine as the new performers lit the room like lazer lights.

From reggae to blues, pop to prog, acoustic to metal – there was something for everyone, with a scoop of free Norden-oh-so-fine ice cream on the side.

Big thanks to everyone who came and supported this event.

We came, we entertained, we rocked The Box, we shook it up, baby … and all that Yaz.

  1. What a fantastic event! A wide range of quality music provided by bands and Youngies teams. Thank you to all those who helped out in the lead up to, and on the night. Bring on the International Battle of the Bands at Convention!

  2. Awesome night. Top music. The night was run very tightly too – no downtime. Loved it.
