Miracles and Revival in Cebu City, Philippines.

A small contingent of people from Box Hill (4 adults, a teenager and a child) recently had an exciting time in the Philippines. There were many highlights on the trip and the highlights from the first week of the trip are posted …

Day 1 Philippines – Revival Meeting in Cebu

After the flight into Cebu and meeting sister Liezel Griffith’s relatives, we settled into where we were staying and ran a Church meeting. Most of Liezel’s relatives were more than happy to attend the meeting. Two ladies were filled with the Spirit that night – May and Annabelle.

Day 2 Phillipines – Trip to Kawasan Falls

The next day we rose early. We assembled a small posse of people and drove 4 hours to Kawasan Falls. There we had lunch, ran another Church meeting and went swimming. Four people were baptised that day including May and Annabelle. May had been sufferring from insomnia for some time. Since being baptised she told us she had been sleeping better than ever. Annabelle’s, now ex husband, had previously decided to take on more than one wife and this had caused Annabelle to feel bitter, helpless, depressed and cheated. From the date of her baptism she kept telling us that she felt like she was floating. Special mention must go to Annabelle, as within less than a week, after being baptised, she was in the front line preaching the Word of God and sharing her testimony to who ever she could!

Day 3 Philippines – Aunty Margaret (May’s mum) healed of Kidney Stones.

We ran another church meeting and Aunty Margaret left the meeting before it had finished in a lot of pain. Liezel simply told us she was ill and needed prayer. Not realising what was wrong with her we continued the meeting with the intention of having some prayer for her later. To my surprise Aunty Margaret came back to the meeting and sat down. We then made opportunity for prayer for the sick and if anyone wanted prayer we asked them to raise their hands. Aunty Margaret’s hands were not raised but none the less we went up and prayed with her. After we finished praying with those that had a need, Aunty Maragaret told Liezel in Philippino (as she could not speak English) she had been healed of a kidney stone attack. Her arms were stretched in the air rejoicing and thanking God for the healing. Kidney stone attacks are incredibly painful and they can last days, however she was healed in less that 20 minutes!

More to come …
