Nepal Report
by Mission News
In June David Kirwood returned to Nepal where there was one Revival Centre in Nawalparasi and two small groups of believers in other locations, three in Bharatpur and five in Kathmandu. Things changed dramatically over the next two weeks. There are now six locations where regular meetings are held with over 90 people baptised and filled with the Holy Spirit. There are also about 40 other people waiting for Pastor Resham to visit them and pray with them for their salvation. Nepalese society can be very cruel, particularly to women. There are four women who have received the Holy Spirit but have not been baptised for fear of being severely beaten and possibly killed by their husband’s family. Please keep them in your prayers so they may have the courage to obey the Scriptures and enter into their salvation.
Since David returned to Australia, a further three people have been filled with the Holy Spirit and two baptised. Testimonies of people being healed and the Lord blessing them in very difficult circumstances are very common. There is great joy among the people despite their struggle to survive. They are excited and are expecting great revival in Nepal.
