Hello, I’m Franziska and I come from South Tyrol in the North of Italy. As far as I can remember, I have always believed in God. I prayed to Him every day and went to Catholic mass almost every Sunday. Nevertheless, I did these things more out of a sense of duty than out of a pure heart.

When I was 16 years old, my sister told me for the first time about speaking in tongues, the sign for receiving the Holy Spirit, just as it had happened at the day of Pentecost. She told me that you can understand God’s Word, the Bible, through the Holy Spirit. This fascinated me, because until then I had been sure that the Bible could not be fully understood.

Shortly after I decided to attend a meeting of the Revival Centres Church and the following week I was baptised by full immersion in water. Soon after I received the Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in tongues. At that time I was not well, I had psychological problems and feared that I would never be able to lead a happy life. But when I received the Holy Spirit, it was as if God had removed all the bad thoughts from my head and replaced it with peace and joy instead.

I began to read the Word of God and finally understood it. Suddenly I had the impression that I knew God personally, I knew that He was always with me and that He understood me and that I didn’t need to worry about anything anymore. Within a very short time, my whole family was baptised and they all received the Holy Spirit, which is an incredible blessing for me.

Over the years, my circumstances may have changed, but God always remains the same and His Word is unshakeable. The world seems to be getting more and more lost, but God always shows me the way and I no longer have to search for a truth because I have already found the one truth.

I thank the Lord for His Word and for His wisdom that He gives us and especially for His peace that passes all understanding.
