Hi I’m Mil,

Thank you for taking the time to read my personal testimony of how God is real in my life.

I was raised in a spirit filled family. My mother, father and my sisters have all received the Holy Spirit with the bible evidence of speaking in tongues. Growing up we attended church every Sunday where we would hear talks about Gods gifts and how He wants to have a real relationship with the individual through his Holy Spirit.

Asking God for the Holy Spirit was something that was talked about at church often. It sounded so easy- just pray and ask God for this gift so that is what I did. I was 12 years when I asked God to be filled with his Holy Spirit as it is laid out in the bible. I was wonderfully gifted the Holy Spirit with the bible evidence of speaking in tongues. I was baptised by full immersion the following week.

I knew this was something I had to do to be right with God as I had read it many times in my own bible.

When I received the Holy Spirit, the language that came out of my mouth was one I had not learned or made up, it was purely from God.

To this day, I can open my mouth to pray and I know I am talking directly to the creator of everything.

No problem is too big or small for God.

Being a mother of two active boys I find myself praying daily for them. Whether it’s because someone has had a fall or for my own peace of mind during this season of toddlers. I know God hears my prayers and provides what I need.

My family has gone through the loss of a loved one recently and it was a difficult time for all. But from diagnosis to passing we truly knew God was with us and our loved one. We saw many blessings along the way that only God can provide.

I know that God has me in the palm of his hand.

There is a lot of uncertainty in the world, but I know that staying close to God is the best place to be.

One of my favourite scriptures that has got me through some hard times is,

Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
