RCC Celebrates five new uni graduates from UPNG
In a small but significant ceremony held at its Gerehu House meeting, all members of the Revival Centers Church in Port Moresby gathered together on Sunday, 1st of August 2021 to have a word of encouragement and prayer with the graduates before they embark on their job-seeking journey after week-long graduation from the University of PNG which ended on Friday, 30th July.
The members brought food together and after our usual Sunday fellowship, everyone took another moment to celebrate & enjoy this great success of our youngies and to remind us of the bond and unity we have through the Lord.
Ldr Jack Abkosa who took charge of the event orchestrated it very well to its conclusion with the support from Br Johan Lolo, Pastor Sacky Gebia, our mothers, and all the congregation of the church.
The following youngies who graduated include:
• Br Paias Korus, Bachelor of Science in Medicine and Surgery
• Br Kurt Kues, Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Public Relations
• Br Jack Seimoni Jnr, Bachelor of Science in Laboratory Science
• Sr Maria Habona, Bachelor of Science in Biology (Biological Science)
• Br Israel Wafiki, Bachelor of Psychology and Business Management
It was a record number of our young people in the church in Port Moresby to have graduated in a single year in their various areas of specialties.
During the program, the graduates were given the opportunity to introduce their areas of specialty to the congregation. Br Jack Seimoni Jnr highlighted that “even though our immediate families are thousands of miles apart, this event reminds us that we do have a family who also cares and rejoices with us through our success”. Br Victor summed it up well in his speech: “Whether if it’s in the church or elsewhere in the bureaucracy and business world, our country needs an exceptional pool of talents that will work towards achieving a long-overdue mission for the betterment of our people and our society. You are a blessing to the church and we are rich in many ways because of the character of the God you represent”.
The program concluded with the church elders praying over the graduates followed by more food thereafter as its always important to put God first in everything we do and to thank Him always as part of knowing God and appreciating him for who he really is.
We wish you all good luck and pray for God’s blessings to be upon each and every one of you in your endeavor.
Go out there and make a positive contribution to impacting our society for the better and always be Christ’s Ambassadors.
God bless,
Desmond Narongou (POM)
