Port Moresby Assembly appoints new church elders
In an appointment ceremony held in its fellowship hall at ATS, Revival Centers Church here at Port Moresby added to its leadership and ministry strength by appointing few more brothers to the leadership roles in the assembly on Saturday 26th June 2021.
New appointments include Pastor Vincent Maim (promoted from Area Leader), Area Leaders Yuwo Sani, Sasae Ray, and Jack Abkosa (promoted from house meeting leaders) and Leaders Paias Waikure, Michael Avoa, Andy Salatum and Vernon Gebia (from brothers).
Present to witness the appointment were all the church members with the program conducted by Zone Pastor Sacky Gebia and District Pastor Tasman Dotaona. It was quite an emotional moment for all the church members including their spouses and children and even their extended families and relatives came to witness. The appointees were remined to be real and humble servants. Pastor Dotaona highlighted in his remarks that being a leader is about being wiling and ready to “accept critisims and move forward”. There’s always a lot of challenges to overcome and being involved in proclaiming God’s word to the mankind. “The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honour, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching” (Timothy 5:17-18). Pastor Gebia said “this was a record number of appointees in the assembly’s history” since its establishment.
Take a step into Lord’s vineyard and make it count as (“everything you for the Lord does not go unnoticed” – Desmond Narongou).
