Sunshine Coast Castle Seizes Saints

Saints Seized at Sunshine Coast Castle

‘Twas a terrific day on the sunshine coast in Early July when the Revival Centre Church Saints visited the Sunshine Coast Castle at Bli Bli. The old historic building revealed many hidden secrets and all had a great time touring the old halls, trying on Medieval Armour and getting seized in the stocks. The typical Sunny Queensland weather was in its fine form; turning a winter’s day (at 20 Degrees Celsius) into one of the most enjoyable days for all that attended.

The whole castle was built in the 1980’s as a show case for a collection of hundreds of dolls and memorabilia. Still standing as a tourist attraction today the keeper “Sir Justyn” explained all about Medieval times and the life they would have led. All I can say is I am glad I was born in this time period.  DO yourself a favour and check it out next time your in town. A great place to visit.

Although built late last century it was a great replication of a real medieval castle – as you can see in the photos. The little kids got to shoot arrows from a hand crafted bow, and Pastor Craig got lost in the towers. The ambience was transforming as you truly felt like you were stuck in the middle ages. Judging by the meeting room there is also opportunity to have opera shows / stage plays and even medieval dinners – looking forward to that experience too. Thanks for a great day out!
