Precise Freshwater Creek Christmas Camp

A great time of fellowship was had at our annual Freshwater Creek Christmas Camp, located just out of Geelong in Victoria, as we said goodbye to yet another year and welcomed 2020.  The Aussie summer heat that enveloped the days was relentless, however the pool served the young kids well, and the cold drinks fridge provided great relief for the rest of us. The Monday brought upon us an extreme fire risk situation; however, we were all prepared escaping early to ice-cold cinemas, shops and to the beach for the day. Most......

Tanzania Report

Just finished a three-day outreach conducted in the form of a seminar/ outreach here in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. The church is very new, and we only visited them for the first time 5 months ago. It was wonderful to see how it has continued faithfully holding to the message that was preached to them since that time. Pastor Mathew Muga organised the seminar for his people and invited other pastors and people from the neighbouring areas. There are around 18-20 people in the assembly (5 spirit filled adults and the rest......

Wyangala NSW Weekend Camp

The Dubbo and Mudgee Assemblies met at Wyangala Dam, near Cowra for our annual camp. The camp has plenty of accommodation with great facilities and lots to do nearby with water activities and local tracks to explore 4×4. We were encouraged with short talks of encouragement from the Bible, see below for some highlights. The camp is an opportunity to have fellowship together, sharing testimonies and building each other up. It’s always a highlight at this time of the year, held on the second weekend in November each year and all are......

Auckland NZ Rally – Contending for the Faith

On the last weekend of October members from the six assemblies from the North and South Islands of New Zealand, a good representation from Australia, and Pastor Apenisa from Sigatoka, Fiji, met in Auckland. This annual gathering took on a different approach this year by being held at the Waipuna Conference Centre. With most visitors staying at the venue, which included some first-class catering and meeting arrangements all under the same roof – it was wall to wall convenience. The venue worked very well, especially for those who had journeyed from abroad.......

Melbourne Book Night

One of the three Melbourne Assemblies located in Box Hill, hosted their annual Sunday School Book Night last Sunday. The communion meeting talk had a focus on raising children, later in the meeting the children were invited on stage to sing some choruses, actions and all! Families were called to the stage to receive their books, speaking into the microphone proved popular with some of the young ones! The meeting was a great opportunity to celebrate the young families, that make up the whole family of God....

Malawi Visit

As youth leaders and interpreters, we had Francis, Innocent, Albert, Ruth and Christina, who are all youth leaders in Blantyre and are involved in the choir. The team we travelled with were......

Victorian Young Revivalists Junior Camp

Last week our annual Young Revivalist Camps were held at Camp Weekaway in Lancefield, Victoria. The Junior Camp for children of Grades 3 to 6 was short, but sweet. The primary aged kids piled in on Wednesday with bags, bedding and enthusiasm ready for four days of fun, friendship and spiritual growth. With no phone reception, no WiFi and less distractions, camp provides the perfect opportunity for all of us to focus on the things of the Lord surrounded by likeminded friends. This year’s theme of the camp was ‘RUN THE RACE’......

Victorian Young Revivalists Senior Camp

The Young Revivalists Senior camp began as soon as the kids arrived on Saturday, starting with them meeting their camp teams and getting to know one another. This year’s camp theme was “Running the race”, with the theme scripture being “Know you not that they which run in a race run all, but one receives the prize. So run, that you may obtain” 1 Corinthians 9:24. The team names demonstrated the different elements to consider when running the race; Mind, Body, and Soul. This was a great theme, which all the kids......
