Personal Story: Hanna

My testimony begins at the age of 5 when l was adopted into a church-going family. Along with them, l attended church every Sunday. This was my routine – school during the week and church on Sundays. It was not until I was a teenager that l started to question this routine. Up until that point, Church was something that my family did and a place where l had friends. I’ve learnt as I’ve grown older, our friends and peers are our biggest influences. Seeing them receive the Holy Spirit and have......

Personal Story: Candace

Throughout my childhood, I was raised in a family where God was always at the forefront of our lives. Along with my parents and younger brother, we attended church every Sunday where we heard the gospel preached and the clear message that to truly know and follow God, it is imperative to personally receive His Holy Spirit. As a child, I think it is quite easy to accept and believe without any doubt that God is real. I would pray to God every night for Him to look after my family and......

Personal Story: Phil

My life, on reflection, has been primarily dedicated to helping people; I find people very interesting in so many ways. I am attracted to cheeky people who love life and enjoy a good laugh. My wife (married for 44 years) also has the disposition of making people happy – that’s right, when I say “on reflection”, I mean it! I am 65 years old! As a teenager, my mum had a desire to know God. I thought this was commendable, so long as it required no effort from me, and supported her......

Personal Story: Jean-Pierre

I was lucky enough to be brought up in a family who had been attending church since before I was born. I say I was lucky because I was brought up hearing all the stories in the bible and knowing the love of God. As a kid I remember hearing what you have to do to be saved but I was never prompted until my friends and peers started receiving the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and being baptised by full immersion. I loved my sport and because......

Thank you for taking the time to read my personal testimony of how God is real in my life. I was raised in a spirit filled family. My mother, father and my sisters had all received the Holy Spirit with the bible evidence of speaking in tongues. We attended church every Sunday where we would hear talks about Gods gifts and how he wants to have a real relationship with the individual through his Holy Spirit. This all sounded great and I knew God was real because I had seen many miracles......

Personal Story: Gilbert

It was in the early 1980’s that I heard the gospel of salvation. I heard this message from a hitch hiker that my brother had given a lift to. His name was George Perry, and he was hiking with what looked like an expensive guitar judging from the case. At the time my life as I knew it was complete, with probably the best job I could ever want. I played with arguably the best music band and musicians in Central Africa. I played international squash representing my country of birth (Malawi)......

Personal Story: Cat

I have lived a very blessed life. Blessed doesn’t always mean everything goes your way and blessed doesn’t mean you don’t get sad. To me, blessed is knowing. It is a contentment in a knowledge of the truth.  I have spirit filled parents, and was brought up attending church every Sunday. Around the age of 9 or 10 I was aware that a lot of my friends were seeking for, or being filled with the Holy Spirit. I didn’t want to be left out so started attending meetings for the children who......

Tasmanian Orford Christmas Camp

The Tasmanian Christmas Camp was held at Orford, an hour drive out of Hobart. The camp theme for this year was 2020 Vision. We had various talks, items, testimonies and activities. The highlight of the camp was the two baptisms on the last day of 2019. Wow!!! How awesome is our God! Mark 16v15: …’Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.’...

We just arrived back from the latest trip to Malawi. There were 10 of us from all across Australia that went; the group was headed by John and Gilbert Nayna. For most of the trip we had 9 Malawians traveling with us: Pastor Nelson (Head Pastor in Malawi), Pastor Eric, Pastor Dickson, Pastor David (new and first Pastor in Zimbabwe). As youth leaders and interpreters, we had Francis, Innocent, Albert, Ruth and Christina, who are all youth leaders in Blantyre and are involved in the choir. The team we travelled with were......

West Maprik PNG Outreach

Yesterday we had an outreach at the Amaup Market in West Maprik. The villagers, market customers, passengers and drivers gathered to watch. They all enjoyed the fellowship with us afterwards. The following day we celebrated the opening of the Walauta House Meeting. At the opening some people from the outreach the day before were baptised. Amen!...
