Malawi Assembly Tour

In August 2023 a group of 10 travelled to Malawi to provide support to the churches there. 2 were regulars, 3 had been before and 5 were there for the first time. This is a journal of what we saw and some impressions of the country. Malawi is one of the most impoverished nations on earth, there are a few larger cities but the majority of the country is villages given over to agriculture, no power and no running water. The cost of living could be set at about $50 US dollars......

Arise Youth Summit

Allow me to begin with a question: are the young people of Revival Centres ready to support the future of the church? The Arise Summit (9th–12th Jun), held in Melbourne, was, in short, the first international summit for young people within RCC, in four years! Under the determined work of the whole youngies team, and in unison with the older members of the church, what has transpired over the past four days was nothing short of extraordinary. The last time I wrote was the ‘23 Freshie Launch Camp, and the fruits of......

Malawi Assembly Tour

Eleven saints from across Australia and New Zealand journeyed across Malawi over two weeks, alongside seven saints from the Chirimba Assembly based in Blantyre. We kicked off in Blantyre at the Chirimba hall for a Youth Meeting, hearing personal stories of God working in people’s lives and energetic talks straight from the scriptures. We pressed on to Chikwawa and Nsanje, then onto Phalombe where we were treated to rousing singing as a welcome from the local saints. These meetings included multiple items from choirs of gospel singers… they blew the roof off!......

European Summer Camp

From praising God with cheerful choruses to encouraging each other with testimonies and talks, Revival Centres Church European Summer camp was back with a bang! The camp, held in Ustka, Poland, was a chance for assemblies from across Europe and the UK to come together and rejoice in what God has given us. The theme of the camp was “Work Out Your Own Salvation”, inspired by this verse in the Bible: Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in......

Personal Story: Francis

My name is Francis Khembo, I am from Malawi Africa. I was born in 1985 in a family of seven children. I was brought up in a Catholic church because that’s where my parents used to fellowship in those days; at this time, I didn’t know anything about the Lord. But when I was 17 years old, I met one of the pastors from Chirimba Revival Centre’s church who talked to me about Jesus Christ and receiving the power of the Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in tongues. It was......

Personal Story: Carl

I used to be of the opinion that religious people were weak and insipid. My own philosophy was to enjoy all that life had to offer without thinking too much about the consequences. In time my attitudes began to change, and I started to take an interest in the Bible and its message of salvation through Jesus Christ. I began to visit a multitude of church denominations, asking questions and seeking advice on how to live the Christian life, but realised after about a year that living a Christian life was an......

Personal Story: Avril

During my childhood I lived in a village in Hampshire, UK and attended a local denominational church. I always believed in God and as a child living in the countryside, it seemed logical that such a beautiful creation had to have a creator. I remember very clearly my confirmation and being bitterly disappointed when the Bishop anointed me with the oil and said, “Receive ye the Holy Spirit” and nothing happened. Many years later I was married with two young children and living in Australia. I was still searching for answers and......

Personal Story: Matt

I went to Sunday school, like kids do. Learned about Bible characters – Adam & Eve, Noah, David & Goliath, Jesus. I had no idea what was going on, but they were nice, fun stories. That’s all they were though… stories. Stories that were stuck in the pages of a book that I struggled to bring to life in my imagination. As I grew older I started to pick up on people’s general cynicism towards religion. People who had had powerless encounters with an unknown and distant God – a God who......

Personal Story: Brandon

I never used to believe in God. Like my family and so many other Australian families I didn’t believe in anything and was content not believing in anything. Looking back however, I see that God was there all along and guiding me to a personal relationship with Jesus. An example of this is that all my best friends growing up with at school turned out to be from Christian families. I can remember one time I went to a friend’s house for a sleepover and we were about to all eat dinner......
