Melbourne Book Night

One of the three Melbourne Assemblies located in Box Hill, hosted their annual Sunday School Book Night last Sunday. The communion meeting talk had a focus on raising children, later in the meeting the children were invited on stage to sing some choruses, actions and all! Families were called to the stage to receive their books, speaking into the microphone proved popular with some of the young ones! The meeting was a great opportunity to celebrate the young families, that make up the whole family of God....

For most of the trip we had 9 Malawians traveling with us: Pastor Nelson (Head Pastor in Malawi), Pastor Eric, Pastor Dickson, Pastor David (new and first Pastor in Zimbabwe). As youth leaders and interpreters, we had Francis, Innocent, Albert, Ruth and Christina, who are all youth leaders in Blantyre and are involved in the choir. The team we travelled with were......

Mulanje, Malawi Visit

Today after lunch with these wonderful brothers, Pastors Nelson, Kelvin, Eric, Dick and Tex Banda along with Francis and Innocent. We drove out about two hours towards the Mulanje district near the Mozambique border. You could see Mozambique in the distance at the foot of the mountains from the church hall. We were blessed to be able to share a word of encouragement with them. After the meeting three people received the Holy Spirit which was a wonderful blessing to be present at the moment of their salvation. These beautiful people welcomed......

Malawi & Mozambique Update

During the first two weeks of March, heavy rain fell day and night for 7 days in Malawi and Mozambique. The resulting flood killed thousands, many houses fell, and crops were washed away in many areas, leaving thousands homeless and starving. The two countries had no time to recover from this disaster, as the following week Cyclone Idai hit Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe, resulting in many more deaths and homeless people. Cyclone Idai is the largest cyclone ever to occur in the southern hemisphere. Many people in the 3 countries are currently......

Jindabyne NSW Christmas Camp

Around 30 saints gathered in hilly Jindabyne for a post-Christmas break. The camp theme ‘Wholehearted’ (Colossians 3:23) inspired many quality talks throughout the camp. Many people enthusiastically contributed to the running of the camp, according to the theme scripture, as they performed duties ‘heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men’. The smaller nature of this camp promoted more intimate fellowship, testimony exchanges and uplifting conversation. The Sunday communion meeting heard two talks, one from camp leader Aaron and another from Angus. Many enjoyed the grape Fanta and barbecue Shapes eaten......

Christchurch NZ Convention

The Christchurch Assembly hosted the New Zealand Convention for 2018, at ‘The Piano’ in central Christchurch. The theme for this year was ‘In His Image’ reminding us that we were created in God’s image, and now we’re called to have a connection to Him through the Holy Spirit experience. We were treated to a variety of talks on the theme, with speakers from all over New Zealand and Australia. The Piano (Christchurch Centre for Music and the Arts) was the venue for the convention and it had terrific acoustics. This meant amazing......

Victorian Young Revivalists Camp

The sky was blue, the sun was shining, the kangaroos were hopping and the spirit was moving. In the first week of Victoria’s school holidays, Melbourne hosted our annual Young Revivalists Camp at Camp Weekaway in Lancefield, Victoria. It was another successful year. This year’s camp theme was strength: ‘He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might he increaseth strength’ Isaiah 40v29. Fittingly, our three teams represented strength as illustrated in the Bible: Unicorns, Lions and Eagles. We heard talks during the week from our very young......

The Revival Centres website (this one) has been updated so that it works better on mobile devices. Try it out on your iphone, your android phone, your other phone, or most types of tablet. This is called “responsive design” – it means the website will gracefully size itself to smaller devices. So if you want to share that story, talk about salvation, or just let someone know about us – just pull your phone and out and get clicking (touching, rolling, swiping or whatever). Any issues – let us know in the......
