My life, on reflection, has been primarily dedicated to helping people; I find people very interesting in so many ways. I am attracted to cheeky people who love life and enjoy a good laugh. My wife (married for 44 years) also has the disposition of making people happy – that’s right, when I say “on reflection”, I mean it! I am 65 years old! As a teenager, my mum had a desire to know God. I thought this was commendable, so long as it required no effort from me, and supported her......

The luscious golf green, bright blue skies, all in the breeze of a balmy summers night. Such was the scene set for a night of celebration and reflection as Melbourne Youngies got together for their annual Formal. For the final shebang of the year, Melbourne Youngies got together at the Eastern Golf Club for food, festivity and formalities. Smiles were bright, cameras were flashing. We were lucky enough to be joined by a few interstaters. I mean, with a night as glam as this it’s really no surprise they’d come from as......

Last Saturday the Melbourne Youngies made the journey to Mt Baw Baw for the snow day. We met early in the morning to carpool to the mountain. When there, some went snowboarding, others went tobogganing with everyone having fun in the snow. For lunch we had a BBQ together enjoying fellowship before heading back onto the slopes. Ahoy there matey! The Salty Sea Dog Inn was the venue for a pirate gathering last Saturday night at the Revival Centres Church hall in Newcastle! People had been previously assigned a specific character therefore dressing and acting that part. From the Grand Governor’s family to the captains, pirates, sailors and townsfolk all the participants got into the act wholeheartedly! …and there was a mysterious murder to be solved. Amongst the hilarity of the evening, Captain “Merciless Morgan”(Pastor Marty Pree) was found stabbed – with copious amounts of tomato sauce as evidence.......

The winning Team of Vision with the Shield of Faith for 2014 The Melbourne Youngies Formal was held in Mordialloc at the stylish restaurant ‘Windows on the Bay’ which perhaps, unsurprisingly, looks out over Port Phillip Bay. It was lovely to welcome visitors from Tasmania, New South Wales, Queensland and even as far away as Canada to help celebrate the culmination of another jam packed year of activities and events in the Youngies calendar. The evening was the perfect opportunity to ‘dress to impress’ and the chance to enjoy fellowship while......

The night of nights for the Young People of the Revival Centres International in Melbourne was held on Saturday night. ‘The Formal!’ Anybody who is anybody walked down the red carpet at the Red Scooter to camera flashes and yahoos as the style, fashion and class of all attendees was top notch. Canapés and drinks were served on arrival; once everyone was seated the usual formalities began with a speech from the elders of the church. The main message being, remember what you have. AKA God is awesome and we should......

Golly gosh! It was a colourful night for the Youngies at the Box Hill hall last Saturday as we were transported to another world for the 2013, 21st birthday fancy dress party where we mingled and chatted to the strains of funky Indian music and learned some “moves” from a couple of Bollywood professionals. The floor was littered with exotic throw cushions and the ceiling festooned with fabrics in yellow, terracotta and reds. Throughout the evening we feasted on Indian delicacies from spicy appetisers, tandoori chicken and lentil patties, to mango lassi’s......

Nepal and Brisbane have so much that tie us together, and especially when a wedding takes place. The Planet Theatre, (home to Revival Centres International Brisbane) is where Ramesh (Melbourne/Perth) and Manu (Brisbane) were married. With over 90 people attending, colour and splendour were the order of the day and many of our Nepalese friends were dressed in traditional clothes, which added to the excitement of the day. ...

Last week the Melbourne Youngies had a road trip up to Mount Baw Baw in Victoria’s high country. We met early at Lilydale McDonald’s to carpool and indulge in some ‘health’ food. We made the trip up the mountain where we donned our snow gear and hit the slopes. There we tobogganed, had snow fights and played in the snow until we were utterly exhausted! We had a break for lunch where one of the Vision captains Tomo, had set up a delicious BBQ lunch right near the snow runs. After we......
