The Hobart assembly recently hosted a Christmas camp in Orford, a 1 hour drive from Hobart in the South East of Tasmania. During the meetings we enjoyed terrific ministry, music and items, from a wide range of speakers and performers. Even with Covid rules overshadowing interstate travel, there were still visitors from as far away as Warrnambool, Melbourne and Sydney to name a few. It was a great mix of visitors and saints from the three Tasmanian assemblies and all had an exceptional week of fellowship. Thanks to all who made the......
Over the Easter long weekend, Freshwater Creek hosted a 4 day camp with the theme ‘The Refreshing’, Isaiah 28v12. We started off on the Friday morning with a prayer meeting, music and ministry. The long weekend brought unseasonably warm weather for Easter in Victoria which resulted in many visits to the beach, pool and plenty of fellowship at the communal BBQ’s around the rotunda. Following the morning meeting on Saturday, after some supervised stretches, the annual Kids Colour Run was held which involved a lot of running, ducking, screaming and bursts of......
Camp has always been a great way to connect with others kids and enjoy learning and growing in God’s word. Interacting with other kids our age is an extremely important thing to those of us younger members of the church. I have always loved camp and looked forward to going there each year and wishing I could stay forever with my fellow revivalists. Many kids and leaders say that camp is like an energy boost for the rest of the year (I agree) so when covid came the first thing I thought......
The Tasmanian Christmas Camp was held at Orford, an hour drive out of Hobart. The camp theme for this year was 2020 Vision. We had various talks, items, testimonies and activities. The highlight of the camp was the two baptisms on the last day of 2019. Wow!!! How awesome is our God! Mark 16v15: …’Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.’...
A great time of fellowship was had at our annual Freshwater Creek Christmas Camp, located just out of Geelong in Victoria, as we said goodbye to yet another year and welcomed 2020. The Aussie summer heat that enveloped the days was relentless, however the pool served the young kids well, and the cold drinks fridge provided great relief for the rest of us. The Monday brought upon us an extreme fire risk situation; however, we were all prepared escaping early to ice-cold cinemas, shops and to the beach for the day. Most......
One of the three Melbourne Assemblies located in Box Hill, hosted their annual Sunday School Book Night last Sunday. The communion meeting talk had a focus on raising children, later in the meeting the children were invited on stage to sing some choruses, actions and all! Families were called to the stage to receive their books, speaking into the microphone proved popular with some of the young ones! The meeting was a great opportunity to celebrate the young families, that make up the whole family of God....
Last week our annual Young Revivalist Camps were held at Camp Weekaway in Lancefield, Victoria. The Junior Camp for children of Grades 3 to 6 was short, but sweet. The primary aged kids piled in on Wednesday with bags, bedding and enthusiasm ready for four days of fun, friendship and spiritual growth. With no phone reception, no WiFi and less distractions, camp provides the perfect opportunity for all of us to focus on the things of the Lord surrounded by likeminded friends. This year’s theme of the camp was ‘RUN THE RACE’......
The Young Revivalists Senior camp began as soon as the kids arrived on Saturday, starting with them meeting their camp teams and getting to know one another. This year’s camp theme was “Running the race”, with the theme scripture being “Know you not that they which run in a race run all, but one receives the prize. So run, that you may obtain” 1 Corinthians 9:24. The team names demonstrated the different elements to consider when running the race; Mind, Body, and Soul. This was a great theme, which all the kids......
The Melbourne Youngies were proud to present the 2019 Fancy Dress with the theme ‘Around The World’. Doors opened at 6:30pm…The dining room was masterfully decorated as an African jungle, the foyer had a U.S.A. theme, Times Square\Fourth of July as well as a European styled mezzanine. We were treated to food from all over the world, with Nachos, Curry, Hot Dogs and many more options. The birthday cakes were devoured for dessert along with ice cream & sprinkles for the littlies. In the Children’s Parade we saw and heard about all......
