Aloha from Newcastle! Newcastle assembly celebrated the end of the year by sipping from fresh coconuts and doing the hula amongst the tropical oasis in our hall. With ukuleles, pineapples and a limbo competition, we celebrated another great year together with a delicious feast and wonderful desserts! Bring on the new year!...
The annual Dubbo and Mudgee assembly retreat at Wyangala Dam was enjoyed by all over the past weekend. With the theme being ‘unity’, we took encouragement from scripture and conversation with one another. We were reminded of the wonderful relationship we each have with God and how we can work together to build each other up spiritually. Here are the accounts of the weekend from a couple of the children. On the weekend we got to go camping. We saw lots of kangaroos and animals. We didn’t see many fish. I......
The sky was blue, the sun was shining, the kangaroos were hopping and the spirit was moving. In the first week of Victoria’s school holidays, Melbourne hosted our annual Young Revivalists Camp at Camp Weekaway in Lancefield, Victoria. It was another successful year. This year’s camp theme was strength: ‘He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might he increaseth strength’ Isaiah 40v29. Fittingly, our three teams represented strength as illustrated in the Bible: Unicorns, Lions and Eagles. We heard talks during the week from our very young......
Ahoy there matey! The Salty Sea Dog Inn was the venue for a pirate gathering last Saturday night at the Revival Centres Church hall in Newcastle! People had been previously assigned a specific character therefore dressing and acting that part. From the Grand Governor’s family to the captains, pirates, sailors and townsfolk all the participants got into the act wholeheartedly! …and there was a mysterious murder to be solved. Amongst the hilarity of the evening, Captain “Merciless Morgan”(Pastor Marty Pree) was found stabbed – with copious amounts of tomato sauce as evidence.......
The Bellarine Assembly, based in Geelong Victoria, had their annual Fancy Dress and the theme this year was ‘Cartoons’. We were treated to an incredible feast of winter warming casseroles and desserts. There was a celebration of assorted milestone birthdays of members of the assembly. Super fun games including Heads or Tails was won by Mel Vistarini and Ellowyn Humphris & Tabitha Nelson were winners at Musical Chairs; guess the Disney theme song was dominated by the teenage girls table. There were fantastic costumes from both adults and children. A special mention......
Last Saturday the Ballarat Assembly had a Christmas in July dinner night at their hall in Delacombe. Masquerade masks were required to add an extra edge to the Christmas theme. There were some visitors and folk from the Western assembly in Melbourne came up to join in the fellowship and entertainment which included trivia questions between courses. A great night was had by all!...
We recently visited the Sigatoka Assembly for an uplifting visit with Pr. Apenesa, his lovely wife Kini and a fiery, fun loving, God fearing family of Saints. Thank you for such warm hospitality, beautiful singing, joyous testimony, reading the Word and the love you shared with us. The Sigatoka Saints would love to have you visit them… A map below from Nadi. It’s an easy and lovely drive to get there. Here are a few snippets of our wonderful time this day, much love to you all and hope to see you soon again.......
A week after the rally has wrapped up and I’m wondering how it all went so quickly. It was a full schedule, bursting at the seams and I left feeling similarly – bursting and full, uplifted, inspired, reminded of my calling as a child of the living God. The theme for this years’ rally – or rather, The Biennial Convention – was In His Presence. It seemed to also be naturally coupled with the idea of being in the presence of his people. In the presence of his people, I will praise......
The Easter Camp at Freshwater Creek is always a short one but a welcome break from our busy lives. We are able to get away from everyday life with like-minded people and really contemplate the things of God. The theme of the camp was “He is the Rock, so let’s roll.” What great inspiration for some wonderful talks! We were reminded that we are the body of Christ and that Jesus is the head, we have liberty in Christ through the Holy Spirit. We also have stability in the Holy Spirit as......
