The Work in PNG is in Good Shape!
by Mission News
Pastors Simon, Darcy, and Justin have just concluded an invaluable weekend of discussion and teaching with the eighteen Zone Pastors and other Senior Pastors (40 in total), from our ever-expanding work in Papua New Guinea.
Many topics were dealt with including leadership, marriage, financing, communication, and the legacy of Pastor Lloyd Longfield. Special emphasis was given to the varied tribal marriage customs throughout PNG and the need to make sure that we uphold the Word of God whilst respecting the law of the land.
In such a culturally diverse and rich country it is inspiring to witness the local communities embracing the Gospel: seeing people filled with the Holy Spirt; people healed; people given the wonderful hope of a future with the Lord.
The weekend concluded with a communion rally at the local eight mile Church in Port Moresby. Pastors from all over the country shared testimonies, ministry, song, and the traditional fellowship dinner.
This was followed by four baptisms.
God bless you RCI PNG
