Victorian Junior Young Revivalists Camp

Victorian Junior Young Revivalists Camp

Another year, another September and another successful year of Young Revivalists’ Camp has passed. Nothing quite matches the excitement of fresh young faces arriving for camp at Weekaway. Full of expectation and a little apprehension, they launch themselves in to every moment with joy and occasionally reckless abandon. The 2015 camp was no exception.

Kids came together from as far as Adelaide and Hobart, Victorian country and city assemblies to get to know one another and rejoice in the Lord. Every day was filled with new activities and a lot of noise. Action packed meetings, joyous praise, camp favourite activities such as canoeing, archery and the flying fox and the challenge all teams were given to put on a song and a skit for the final concert performance.

While it was a camp full of mischief, with food related pranks in the dining room and pillow fights in the foyer, the highlights for all were the friendships made that will last a lifetime and the opportunity given to leaders and kids alike to pray together, read the word together and grow together in Christ.

It was a fun filled time and just as we do every year, we sent all the kids home exhausted.

The Melbourne assembly in Australia began just after World War 2. It is the headquarters for the Revival Centres Church globally. It is composed of three centres: Central (in Box Hill), Southern (in Mt Eliza) and Western (in Williamstown).
