Malawi
by Mission News
John Andrews and Darcy Ryan have landed in Blantyre, Malawi for a 2 week visit. On arrival a normal Malawi welcome was presented by a group of sisters, singing a beautiful welcome song.
Our first 2 assemblies (Chikuli and Lunzu) were visited on Friday with 8 people baptised at the end of the day, a great way to finish the fellowship. The singing, the items and ministry were presented to all.
Pastor Cooper from Liberia has also arrived in the country and is traveling with the group. He is here to see how the work in Malawi has accomplished great Revival over the last 20 years.
SUNDAY 8th SEPTEMBER 2013
Before the communion meeting was Colin and Mercy’s wedding and in traditional Malawian fashion it was loud and exciting, with music and dance to start and end the day. A wonderful time was had by all who were there.
Straight after the wedding service, the communion meeting starts with a bright energy-filled chorus session, followed by items and testimonies. Pastor Cooper from Liberia sang two of his own written songs and testified of the work in Monrovia and how fast it is growing.
Pastor John and Darcy brought greetings from Australia, followed by their testimonies and short talks from the Word of God.
The day ended with 9 people being baptised.
