Over 3 days, Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Sunday, an Easter rally was held in Western Mozambique. Approximately 600 people from about 14 assemblies attended the rally. Pastor Bickiel Kiliyoni, the regional pastor for the Central and Northern regions of Malawi; Pastor B. Chimwala, area pastor for Lilongwe (the capital of Malawi) and Pastor Bonongwe from Dedza also attended the Mozambique Easter rally.
A wonderful time of talks, singing, items from the various assemblies, ministry and fellowship was had by all. Everyone contributed to the food for the weekend, although there is widespread famine in some parts of Malawi and Mozambique. The meetings were held in the open, as the hall was not large enough to accommodate the 600 attendees.
During the weekend 70 people were baptised and 32 received the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. There are currently around 16 assemblies in Mozambique and approximately 1700 people have been baptised and filled with the Holy Spirit.
