Newcastle Assembly Camp

Newcastle had a relaxing weekend at Glenrock Scout Camp for this years’ assembly camp. Situated in a serene valley, with reception blackout, it was truly an escape from the everyday hustle and bustle (but we still managed to smuggle a few coffees in). By day we spent our time at the beach, mountain biking and bush walking. By night the decks of cards brought out the competitive side in some, with a few rounds of 500. After our Sunday Communion meeting we had a great BBQ lunch and fellowship before packing up......

Melbourne Youngies Winter Camp

The Melbourne Youngies went to Freshwater Creek Camp for a wintery weekend away. Arriving on the Friday night, we got started after breakfast on the Saturday morning to renovate the Youngies Shed. It was all hands-on deck to clean, bin, paint, carpet, install, you name it! Treated to a BBQ lunch, it was back to work to finish off the renovations that afternoon. Saturday evening, we had a Mexican communal dinner, joined by some of the Youngies from the local Bellarine Assembly. We had games in the Ranch House, Billiards and Table......

Freshwater Creek AU Easter Camp

The Easter Camp at Freshwater Creek is always a short one but a welcome break from our busy lives. We are able to get away from everyday life with like-minded people and really contemplate the things of God. The theme of the camp was “He is the Rock, so let’s roll.” What great inspiration for some wonderful talks! We were reminded that we are the body of Christ and that Jesus is the head, we have liberty in Christ through the Holy Spirit. We also have stability in the Holy Spirit as......

Tatum Park NZ Easter Camp

The Wellington Assembly hosted approximately 80 saints at Easter Camp in the beautiful surroundings of Tatum Park in Horowhenua. There was plenty to please everyone with a confidence course, flying fox, walking tracks, or places to just sit in the sun and fellowship with the saints. For the coffee lovers, there were afternoon excursions to Ruth Pretty Catering, about 10 minutes’ drive away, and shopping in her kitchen shop for those must have kitchen essentials. Back at camp, the saints were put into catering teams and these, combined with the outdoor dining......

Melbourne Youngies Launch Camp

Melbourne Youngies kicked the year off with a weekend away at Freshwater Creek Camp. We started on the Thursday night as everyone arrived from far and wide with guests from New South Wales and country Victorian assemblies joining us as well. Friday we had a morning meeting with gospel choruses, testimonies of God working in people lives and talks from the Bible. The afternoon activity was a drive to Eastern Beach in Geelong for jetty jumping and a swim; we were fortunate to catch an air show and fabulous Australia Day celebrations.......

Harrietville VIC Christmas Camp

The Harrietville camp has come and gone in quick time and proved to be a very successful replacement for Halls Gap. We had 100 folk being a good mix from Queensland, South Australia,Tasmania as well as Victoria. A big thank you to Sharna, Connor and staff at Feathertop who have been great to work with and did more for us than we expected. There was lots of prayer, talks and items with good humour and co-operation and plenty of sightseeing was enjoyed by many in the beautiful mountain area. The fishing was......

Hanmer Springs NZ Christmas Camp

The Annual New Zealand South Island Camp held in the alpine town of Hanmer Springs was attended by 70-odd people over the end of 2017 and the start of 2018. Attendees at the camp enjoyed the beautiful sunshine (after the initial poor weather cleared) as well as the various walk and bike tracks, cafes, shops, and the famous Thermal Hot Pools that were on offer. The Youngies especially enjoyed the “tic-tic-tic” of young scootering hooligans who rattled the pavement early in the morning. Word on the street was that Pastor Dave’s snoring......

Whangaehu NZ Christmas Camp

Camp Whangaehu, situated in the North Island of New Zealand hosted 200+ people for the RCC Christmas get-together. The camp started off cold and wet, which gave us the opportunity to get to know each other in close proximity, however when the sun eventually came out, the Youngies gladly discovered the beach. While the meetings and fellowship were second to none, our New Years Eve event was the eye opener of the camp, where we stepped out of our comfort zones and did something completely different. The night started with Nutella Dessert......

Freshwater Creek VIC Christmas Camp

In a world filled with “crazy people doing crazy things”, Freshwater Creek camp was an oasis of godly and profound ponderings, interspersed with, of course, “crazy people doing crazy things”!!! Of course difference was the content. Joyful singing, inspired testimonies chock-full of overcoming and miracles, talks filled with wisdom and thought provoking ideas designed to take us into a new year where there will be challenges. But we have been reminded to stand together, and that It’s not about us and what we can get from God, but about reflecting God’s Glory......

Bowen Christmas Camp

Bowen is a town 2 hours south of Townsville on the coast at the top of the Whitsundays. We met at the local Bowen State High School hall for our meetings, where we enjoyed gospel music, testimonies of God working in people’s lives, talks from the Bible and items ranging from musical to skits. New Years’ Eve was filled with activities, music and supper of course! We were encouraged for the year ahead and reminded of our theme scripture ‘Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these......
