Freshwater Creek VIC Christmas Camp

Through scorching days, windy days and cold nights with clear starry skies, saints got together at Freshwater Creek over the holiday break to celebrate the end of one year and to ring in the new. The light of the spirit shone in our hearts and minds, as was the camp theme: Shine The Light. During the meetings, we sang, we were entertained, and we heard from pastors and elders young and old on the theme of The Light. Pr Rob, all the way from London, reminded us that the eternal is not......

Whangaehu NZ Christmas Camp

Camp Whangaehu is situated in the North Island of New Zealand. The camp is 20 mins from civilisation. Which means  no cellphone reception. A good time to recharge those spiritual batteries. The theme for the camp was Kia Kaha which is a Māori phrase used by the people of New Zealand as an affirmation, meaning stay strong. We heard amazing examples through the talks to stay strong through 2019. The camp offered hot beach weather, great fellowship, volleyball comp, outdoor concert for NYE and much more. If you get the chance, come......

Jindabyne NSW Christmas Camp

Around 30 saints gathered in hilly Jindabyne for a post-Christmas break. The camp theme ‘Wholehearted’ (Colossians 3:23) inspired many quality talks throughout the camp. Many people enthusiastically contributed to the running of the camp, according to the theme scripture, as they performed duties ‘heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men’. The smaller nature of this camp promoted more intimate fellowship, testimony exchanges and uplifting conversation. The Sunday communion meeting heard two talks, one from camp leader Aaron and another from Angus. Many enjoyed the grape Fanta and barbecue Shapes eaten......

Forster-Tuncurry NSW Christmas Camp

This year’s RCC Forster/Tuncurry Christmas Camp was well supported by Queensland and NSW saints. Cool north-east winds and clear skies provided a good back drop for outdoor activities, including walking trips, fishing, swimming, New Year’s fireworks, a breakfast BBQ by the river and yoga style exercises. The ladies’ coffee afternoon at Green Point went well. And the guys, not to be outdone, went to Hamiltons for coffee by the river. Our camp theme, “Abide in him” 1John 2 :28, was explored by our speakers and helped to give a sense of what......

Melbourne Christmas Production ‘A Song For Christmas’

‘It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…’ This December, the Melbourne assembly immersed itself in all things Christmas, proudly presenting the musical production ‘A Song For Christmas’, written and directed by Richard Gaarenstroom and Sandra Mau. ‘A Song For Christmas’ saw itself set in the quaint and idyllic setting of 1950s America, where the snow falls softly outside, carols play from the wireless, trees are decorated with tinsel and stars and families come together to partake in the joys of Christmas… and this year was no exception for the Deluca family.......

Melbourne Youngies Formal

The luscious golf green, bright blue skies, all in the breeze of a balmy summers night. Such was the scene set for a night of celebration and reflection as Melbourne Youngies got together for their annual Formal. For the final shebang of the year, Melbourne Youngies got together at the Eastern Golf Club for food, festivity and formalities. Smiles were bright, cameras were flashing. We were lucky enough to be joined by a few interstaters. I mean, with a night as glam as this it’s really no surprise they’d come from as......

Boltenhagen Outreach Camp

Arriving at midnight on Thursday night (after flying into Hamburg and driving for an hour or two on the Autobahn) wasn’t enough to stop us from staying up late chatting about the things of the Lord. “You can sleep when you get home,” says Pastor Konrad, with matchsticks already propping open his eyelids. (He was comparatively quiet at breakfast the next morning.) Of course, as is tradition for our European “camps”, we are provided with an endless stream of food, from buffet breakfasts to restaurant bookings and birthday cake “birthday cake eating”......
