Christchurch NZ Convention

The Christchurch Assembly hosted the New Zealand Convention for 2018, at ‘The Piano’ in central Christchurch. The theme for this year was ‘In His Image’ reminding us that we were created in God’s image, and now we’re called to have a connection to Him through the Holy Spirit experience. We were treated to a variety of talks on the theme, with speakers from all over New Zealand and Australia. The Piano (Christchurch Centre for Music and the Arts) was the venue for the convention and it had terrific acoustics. This meant amazing......

Newcastle Assembly Camp

Newcastle had a relaxing weekend at Glenrock Scout Camp for this years’ assembly camp. Situated in a serene valley, with reception blackout, it was truly an escape from the everyday hustle and bustle (but we still managed to smuggle a few coffees in). By day we spent our time at the beach, mountain biking and bush walking. By night the decks of cards brought out the competitive side in some, with a few rounds of 500. After our Sunday Communion meeting we had a great BBQ lunch and fellowship before packing up......

Newcastle Youth Outreach

With the coffee overflowing and banana bread by the bucket load, the “Say Something” outreach highlighted Newcastle as place to be over the long weekend. The weekend kicked off with great encouragement from Pastor Mark Wade: if we love God our desire is for everyone to have a relationship with God, as it is God’s will to have a relationship with His creation. In a refreshing format, workshops and group exercises were run on Saturday morning to discuss how to talk to others about our personal experience in receiving the Holy Spirit.......

Townsville High Tea

Last Saturday the Townsville RCC hosted a Ladies High Tea (sorry, no guys allowed). Chief organiser, Debbie Gibson, was our ‘au pair’ for the afternoon and entertained the 21 guests from the Townsville public. There was lots of fun to be had, including a ‘fascinator’ competition, poems, musical items, auctioning of antiques, hilarious stories, food and tea in abundance, and most importantly – the sharing of testimonies. All proceeds went to the Aussie farmers ‘drought relief’ and our African ‘mission fund’. A beautiful time had by all. God bless....

PNG Maprik Zone Housemeeting Opening

Hi folks, 60 saints here in Maprik travelled down to the mighty Sepik plains on Saturday for the opening of a new assembly housemeeting the following day. Our journey started off with a 3 hour drive down the plain and another 3 hour gruelling walk in the hot sun. But, it is nothing compared with what our Lord Jesus did for us. Praise God for saving us and filling us with the Holy spirit! Joy inexpressible; Spirit filled and loving every moment....

Tanzania Visit Report

Today I went to the RCC meeting at Kigamboni in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. It took me 2 hours to reach there – 3 kms on foot, a 5-minute ferry ride, a 25-minute ride in a shared minibus and another minute on foot. The singing, like all the singing in Africa and the Pacific Islands was wonderful as were the many testimonials, especially that of P. Michael’s miraculous recovery. A couple of weeks ago, he was virtually at death’s door and Jonathan, who is a doctor, feared for his father’s life. Now,......

There were some awards for the night with Olivia Rough taking out the best dressed female and Rob Tratt taking out the men’s award. Following the awards everyone took advantage of the wonderful views of the Brisbane River and Storey bridge from the balcony. The night was an enjoyable time with......

Newcastle Pirate Night

Ahoy there matey! The Salty Sea Dog Inn was the venue for a pirate gathering last Saturday night at the Revival Centres Church hall in Newcastle! People had been previously assigned a specific character therefore dressing and acting that part. From the Grand Governor’s family to the captains, pirates, sailors and townsfolk all the participants got into the act wholeheartedly! …and there was a mysterious murder to be solved. Amongst the hilarity of the evening, Captain “Merciless Morgan”(Pastor Marty Pree) was found stabbed – with copious amounts of tomato sauce as evidence.......
